Hot Yoga, Baseball, & Beer

I tried Hot Yoga (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bikram-Yoga-Everett/126162150729277).  I must confess...I only made it through 45 minutes till I had to leave the room.  Thankfully, I made it to the bathroom before I got sick.  The next class, 3 days later, I stayed in the room the entire time!!  But, I laid on the mat most of the time, trying not to get sick.  The yoga room is 104 degrees with 40% humidity...this is no joke!!  It was unreal to see how much I was able to sweat...I am pretty sure my pinky toe was even sweating.  I did however, learn some really neat stretching moves.  The Eagle pose is my favorite!

Since I am no stranger to the gym, I joined the same gym as Scott and Robert Emerald City Athletic Club (https://www.facebook.com/ecaceverett).  This gym is great, they have a bunch of machines, free weights, Zumba & Yoga classes.  This is more my speed for sure! I will give up my spot in Hot Yoga class to someone who can take the heat!  I even have a trainer's help once a month every 6 months.  I do miss my old one, Charles Gardner (https://www.facebook.com/charles.gardner.77?fref=ts).  If you live in Huntsville and need a trainer look him up!

Scott and I went to my first major league baseball game last night!  It was such a great experience!  The field was amazing and stadium was HUGE!  I thought that the Huntsville Starts Stadium was something...boy was I wrong!  There were a bunch of places to get food, like Ivar's Seafood, and Garlic Fries just to name a few.  There was also an open air bar in the out field!  I think one of the most unique features of the Mariner Stadium was the retractable roof!!  That's right, it rains in Seattle...who knew right!  The roof can be moved over the field when that happens...how freaking cool is that!!

The fun began before the game, when we went to dinner at Pyramid Brewery (https://www.facebook.com/PyramidBrew).  I had one of the best BBQ Chicken Pizzas on the face of the planet!  The BBQ sauce was the perfect balance of sweet with a little bit of spice.  Also, for those of you that know me know that I have never found a beer that I am able to choke down.  Well I found one last night that was actually good,  it's an Apricot Beer by Pyramid.  Pyramid is a local brewery and you are able to buy their beers in a grocery store.

I am going to say something that might get me kicked out of the Southern states when I go back.   Southern Hospitality is a real thing.  We will happily welcome you in our home, ask you if you want a Coke and even cook you a meal if you so desire. Here comes the thing this Southern girl should probably not say...everyone here that I have meet so far is genuinely nice.  Yes, people in the south are nice, but as a true Southern person knows most of the niceness is mixed with fake and backhanded compliments.  I am not saying this is a bad thing, so please don't be upset with me.  I just wanted to share what this Southern Girl in Seattle has noticed in her 3 weeks here.  I have only moved out if the south, but the south will always be in my heart, GRITS (Girl Raised In The South) for life!!

I do miss all of my family and friends with all my heart!!!  The one thing I do not miss the the humidity you are experiencing right now.  It has been a beautiful here since we got here, this weather is hard to resist.
